I had the pleasure of rising with the sun and capturing this beautiful family in some gorgeous morning light last weekend. I love their amazing outfits, coordinating without too much matchy-matchy is always my favorite. Here’s a sneak peek from their family session:
I just love capturing all the different personalities in a family photo! Their energy was a great way to start the day and kept me motivated throughout the weekend!
More pics of your beautiful family coming soon!
WOW – Since my last blog post, it’s been a whirlwind around here!
Thanks to all of my wonderful families who have contacted me to do their holiday photos before my maternity leave, which is just around the corner! The calendar is almost full with just a few available dates. But don’t worry, if we’re not able to get together early, I have started a waiting list of families to contact when I return to work 🙂
Here’s a little sneak peek from my most recent session!
Photographing this family is always such a pleasure! It’s amazing how much they change from year to year, and we always have a blast chasing the sunset together 🙂
Thanks for another fun session!
This morning I spent a little time making some baby “thank you” notes, a collage for Mike, and looking forward to the future 🙂
Speaking of looking towards the future:
I will be off starting the month of November on maternity leave. In the past, November has been my busiest month, so, for those of you who are interested in crossing off “holiday cards” early this year, I’ll be offering an early bird package (August

I can’t believe this little pirate turned 2 this month!
You’ll notice he’s still a big Elmo fan 🙂
Such a sweet big boy!
Happy Birthday buddy!
Thanks for a super fun morning!
Psst…if you’ve got a little one with a birthday coming up, I’d love to meet up for a few fun shots. Let’s get you on the calendar! firstname.lastname@example.org
Fireworks have a such a magical feel for children and grown-ups alike. We look forward to that grande finale, but then are a little bit sad when the celebration ends.
One of my nephews’ favorite activities, Light Painting, continues the fun throughout the year! In preparation for photographing fireworks and as a “Grande Finale” to my summer enrichment class, we always celebrate with Light Painting. The students learn to set their cameras to their Fireworks, Long Exposure, or Manual Modes to extend their shutter time and let the fun begin.
They enjoy writing messages,
and, this year’s all time favorite, creating “Balls of Light!”
I highly recommend experimenting with Light Painting. It’s a great indoor and/or outdoor activity for the whole family!
I hope you are enjoying your summer!
Psst…The Balls of Light were inspired by photographer Denis Smith.
Totally worth googling when you have a chance 🙂
